- The first step is to select a discipline from the drop down list. Once a discipline is selected, another drop down list will appear, prompting you to select a C-ID course descriptor that you are submitting your course outline to.
- After you select the appropriate C-ID course descriptor, you will be presented with a page titled, Submit a Course Outline of Record for Review. On this page, you will enter in the following information about your course:

- The institution course designation and number

how to do this:
- Press the Other online accessible location radio-button to enter in a publicly accessible web site link from which C-ID staff can retrieve your course outline. You must provide a fully qualified URL that will work if pasted directly into a browser's address box.
- Directly upload a PDF document of your course outline to the C-ID web site.
If you have any questions while you are completing the form, please email info@c-id.net or call (916) 445-4753 and project staff will assist you. Our goal is to make this a user friendly process for you. Once you complete the form, the following review/approval process will then take place:
- The course approval form and course outline will be sent to two members of the appropriate Faculty Discipline Review Group to be validated. If the course is found to include 100% of the C-ID Course Descriptor detail, it will be approved. If the course is not approved because it does not match the descriptor in its entirety, then the FDRG members will explain, by return email, exactly what kept the course from being approved.
- The campus articulation office will then correspond with their specific discipline faculty and determine if changes are in the best interest of the institution for resubmission.
